Yellow Root, aka Dalani Anai Yulti

Yellow Root, or Dalani Anai Yulti, also may go by the latin name of Xanthorhiza simplicissima. The part that is usually used of Yellow root is the root, as the name would suggest. It has been described as bitter, cold and dry.

Some of the things that Yellow Root has been used for include things like a liver and digestive tonic, as well as yeast types of issues. You can find it being used for candidiasis, as an antifungal, and thrush, which is related as well.

It is related to the Cherokee, and is easily cultivated. I always like to know what would be easily grown, just in case I ever want to try my hand at it.

Click here for a picture of it, it is very pretty really. I like the purple flowers.
